What we are glad to receive
Corrections to the record
This site distinguishes throughout between documented fact, historical interpretation and contested accounts. If a date, a title, a publication year or an attribution here is wrong — particularly if you can point to a source — please tell us. Corrections are made on the page where the error appears, not buried in a note.
Archival contributions
The image archive assembled for this project is small: ten plates, several of them undated. If you hold or know of photographs, printed material, correspondence or publication records relating to Bipin Chandra Pal — or to the periodicals he edited — we would be glad to know of them, and to record their provenance properly.
Enquiries from students and teachers
The material here is written to be usable in classrooms and in research at school and undergraduate level. If you need clarification on a source, on where a quotation comes from, or on why a particular claim is marked contested, please ask.
Questions of interpretation
Several matters on this site are genuinely open: the extent to which the Swadeshi agitation caused the 1911 annulment; how to read Pal's move from agitation to constitutional writing; how his opposition to non-co-operation should be judged. Disagreement on these is welcome and, where it is well argued and sourced, may change what appears here.
Website matters
Broken links, images that do not load, accessibility problems, or difficulties reading the site on a particular device or with assistive technology — all of these are worth reporting, and will be treated as faults rather than as inconveniences.
How this publication was made
A short statement of method, so that readers can judge what they are reading.
